About Rainforest Eco Lodge
The Rainforest Eco Lodge stands on the remnants of an ancient volcanic plug.
Known in the Fijian language as Naulukaroa, which means the head of the clan. At the time, back in 1999 Rainforest Eco Lodge was first known as Raintree Lodge, then it changed to Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort which has just changed recently. It was Fiji’s first purpose-built ecotourism resort filled with natural beauty and ecosystems. Located just 15min Suva city, it sits on the edge of a rainforest.
Rainforest Eco Lodge, (formerly known as Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Eco Resort), is located right on Princes Road, Colo-i-Suva , opposite the Police Post and next to the Forest Park and the Forestry Department.
Princes Road is the scenic alternative route between Nausori Airport and Suva. Rainforest Eco Lodge is approximately 15kms from the airport and 9kms from Suva. Trips to town are easy, either by taxi or local bus.
Colo-I-Suva Forest Park is just 500 meters from our door, teeming with tropical plants and vivid and melodic bird life, it has 6.5km of walking trails that navigate clear natural pools and swimming holes.
There is fantastic bird watching at the resort and within minutes walk at the Forest Park
